I don’t consider myself to be old (I am one of those people who truly believes that age is nothing more than a number), but I will admit that I was around in the days before the Internet was available. Back in those days, if you wanted to get a rental car, you only had three options. You could reserve a car over the phone from one company, reserve a car in person from one company, or tell your travel agent to find the best deal available (which they never did, and instead booked your reservation with a company that provided them a kickback).
Fortunately, those days are gone for good, and the Internet now makes it really simple to instantly compare the available car rental rates from all of the major car rental companies that are present in the place where you need a rental. I remember that I was skeptical when I made my first online car rental reservation several years ago, but I quickly learned that comparing car rental rates and reserving the best one really is easy when you do it online.
